Lawn Fawn Addicts Valentine Swap 2019

Hello there!

I love doing these swaps that my group hosts.  I can’t thank the 2 organizers enough for coordinating these for the group! Pene & Tricia!!! Thank you! I love seeing the swap cards and the joy that it brings to the participants.  So far we’ve had a Fall, Winter, and Valentines one.  Fingers crossed for an Easter/Bunny one.

Anyhow, the card I made for my swap was made using the LF Woodland Critter Huggers die set.  For the main card, scored and folded a piece of pink cardstock and cut into the paper, leaving the ears hanging off the edge a bit, maybe an 1/8 of an inch so that it stays connected at the top. I then cut out a cute fox and all the little bits in a couple of shades of pink and black for the eyes, nose, & mouth.  I assembled the fox and before adhering to the card base, I wrapped a cute pink, gold, & white ribbon around its neck and held that in place using some double sided tape.  I then lined it up to the card base and adhered it down.  I also die cut a heart from felt using the same die set… and a cute ribbon from the LF Min Picture Frames die set. I added those onto the fox to give it a finishing touch.

I left the tail for last… because I wanted to do something a bit different.  I wanted it to wag…lol.  Luckily, I had some mini action wobbles… and attached the tail to the backside using the action wobble.

SO CUTE! Love how it bounces, even though you can see the wobble mechanism on the backside! I then added a cute little heart “tattoo” to its bum to give it something extra! LOL.  See the video below to see it in action!

I was super happy how it turned out.. and it was sent off into the mail… on its foxy little way to my swap buddy.  She just received it today, hence the reason I am sharing this via blog post… I didn’t want to ruin the surprise! 🙂  Thanks for stopping by! Hugs-Kim

Hubbys birthday card! Lol

Hello hello hello!

I made my husband a fun birthday card… using lots of cute stuff… including the heads of my adorable doggies. We’re both super obsessed with them… so I thought it would be fun to include them in the card. 😂

I used Mama Elephants Inside Pop dies for the main features like the body and the other ones (Book Buddy) that coordinate for the tails of my cute doggies!

Of course I wanted to give the sky some dimension by using distress ink to add the clouds using a stencil. I used Lawn Fawn Grassy Border die for the grass, which you can’t see. I used the stamp & coordinating die set Happy, Happy, Happy to add those words to the background sky, as well as the sun from Spring Showers.

I then adhered the green grass after I added some distress ink to the edges… and then added the bodies to the card. I popped those big ol noggins up and was super happy with it! 😂 I did use some Copic markers to add some texture to the bodies… but you can’t see it really well. I also used LF Happy Birthday border die to add to the ground to complete the message. I felt like it needed a bit more… so I die cut out the ball and the two bones from Scalloped Treat Box Dog House Add On and added those too. I also die cut some hearts using the Valentine Borders and added them to complete my card.

For the front… I kept it quite simple. I just die cut a rectangle from some patterned paper and added the bone tag from the Dog House add on set. I closed it up using some orange bakers twine. I hope he likes it! ❤️

Thanks for swinging by…. Hugs… Kim!

Baby bat!

Hello! Just wanted to swing through and share a story about a little baby bat!

I work at a preschool and on the exterior wall… we spotted something brown and fuzzy.. took a closer look and it was a little bat! It sat in the same place for a week and I was starting to worry about it.

I swear it visibly got smaller cause it didn’t seem like it moved at all! I was able to locate a Bat rescue person to come and pick it up. The day the lady was suppose to come… I get to work excited for the bat to be taken care of and fed.. only to find it gone! 😦 I was sooo bummed. The lady called and let me know she was on her way.. but I told her not to cause it was gone! Now all the kids and I are kinda bummed. There was no “happy ending” with it being rescued… so luckily.. I had the Lawn Fawn Bat Add on die… and I’m making a substitute for us! Lolol

I’m gonna laminate it and glue dot it to the brick wall in the same place…hopefully it stays put.. unlike the real life one! Lololol -Hugs! Kim

Somebunnies thank you cards!

Hello everyone! Happy New Year!!!

Took a break cause of the holiday season.. but I’m back with some cute thank you cards that I made for the awesome people at work.

I definitely wanted to use this cute Mama Elephant die set called “Inside Pop- Bunny & Cat Creative Cuts”.  They are SO darn cute!  I cut out all the pieces needed to assemble this cute little bun bun.. and trimmed green cardstock down to size to fit an A2 sized card.  I used some distress ink to color up the edges, which gives them some shadowy dimension.

Skipping forward to the front… I kept the card front nice and easy because the inside was such a statement.  I used a scalloped rectangle stitched die by Gina Marie.  I also cut out the bow from the Lawn Fawn Gift Box die set.  I cut an 8 1/2 x 3/4 belly band and adhered it together around the card, then added the bow to it.  I left a tiny bit of room so that the band comes off easily.  I felt like it still needed another element so I die cut a little tag from the Mama Elephant Mini Tags Creative Cuts and used its coordinating stamp set Mini Messages to add a sentiment.

Back to the inside of the card…  I used some light blue distress ink & My Favorite Things Cloud stencil to add some depth to the sky.  I then adhered the grass to the ground.  I wanted something to divide the sky & ground so I cut out a cute little fence by Magnolia.  This is my most favorite fence, EVER!  I added that and then finally added the bunny.

To add some texture, I die cut some clouds using Lawn Fawn Simply Puffy Cloud Frames and added that to the background on top of the stenciled clouds.  I then wanted to add something to the ground… so I cut out a carrot from Lawn Fawn Stitched Garden Border and added that, after stamping the sentiment from My Favorite Things “BB Somebunny”.

(I blurred out my note to the recipient.. heh heh.. forgot to take pics before finishing them off.. lol)

That is it for this project… I love mixing all the cute companies I adore!  They go so well together, don’t they?  Hugs- Kim

LF Addicts Winter card swap

Yes, it’s me again! I am catching up on the posts I’ve been meaning to write and share!

This next card was for my LF Addicts group on Facebook! We have been having so much fun making , sending, and sharing all of our cute Lawn Fawn cards!

I have been obsessed with the Sunny Studio sliding card die because it gives it a quick interactive touch very easily! I paired it with Lawn Fawns Woodland Critter Huggers and the Winter add on dies! SO SO SOOO cute! I also used LF “joy” and the Forest Border die.

I didn’t want to leave the inside plain, so I die cut some LF mini snowflakes and adhered them around leaving space in the middle blank so she could use it for someone else if she wanted. I usually write on a sticky note for swaps so they can resend to someone of their choosing! 🙂

The Critter Hugger and add on dies we’re intricate, but easy to assemble once you cut out all the pieces.

Thanks for stopping by! -Hugs, Kim

LF Addicts Fall Swap card

I LOVE swapping cards! Getting mail is always fun and unexpected even when it is unexpected (at least for me because I always forget!! Lol).

For my card I used one of the cutest sets that Lawn Fawn makes, which is the Happy Harvest set. I used a mini side step card die for the base and just that one stamp set! I stamped, colored, and cut the images… and adhered then to the fun base.

I also stamped the envelope to give it a festive touch…

It made it one piece! I always worry about mail getting lost so I was relieved when my swap buddy posted in the group!!! ❤️.

Winter is coming… in the next post! 😂

-Hugs.. Kim
