Super long LF card… seriously!

Why did I make a long card? Because I wanted to use the newly released Simply Celebrate stamp set with the little flower girl from the Easter Party stamp set as the focal point of my card.

I cut a 9 x 7.5 yellow card base and scored it lengthwise at 3.75. I also cut out a white mat at 8.75 x 3.50 to stamp the flowers on both ends, leaving room in the center for my little shining star. ❤️ I used a piece of copy paper to cover the flowers and used Distress ink (Twisted Citron & Mowed Lawn) to sponge on the grass. I then pulled out my stash of stencils. I love the MFT Cloud stencils & the MFT Radiating Rays stencil too, but my go to cloud stencil is one that I made myself years ago. It’s been good to me and I use it all the time! I sponged on some of the rays first using more Distress ink (Squeezed Lemonade & Mustard Seed), then added the clouds using Tumbled Glass ink.

I then colored the flowers using my Copics. I added big and little blings to fill in the centers of the flower to make them nice n sparkly! I stamped, colored, & fussy cut the little girl and popped her up on some foam tape. I added Wink of Stella to her petals to make her sparkle as well! I die cut a curved banner using Fancy Folded Banners die set and colored it yellow to match the card base. I found the sentiment from Summertime Charm stamp set, it was just perfect for this card. To tie it to the card, I also added Wink of Stella to the banner to accentuate the sparkly-ness. 😆 I didn’t intend to add the polka dots on the yellow card base, but I found that I accidentally left a couple of spots of dark yellow marker behind.. so I had to just continue and go around the entire border!!! Oh well! So I added more Wink of Stella to round out the card! 😂 I will probably make a custom envelope for this card, but I did measure out the card base to fit into a legal sized envelope, in case I get lazy! Haha! Thanks for stopping by! Hugs- Kim
